    POODLE PORCELAIN PLATE

The motif is inspired by the 2022 sculpture The Poodle’s Core, featuring a large poodle baring its teeth. The surface draws inspiration from Jeff Koons’ perpetually passive balloon animals and Goethe’s Faust, from which the title is derived. In Faust, the core of the poodle symbolizes the devil. Thus, the poodle's cute exterior conceals a satanic inner nature.

Edge is hand painted with 24 carat gold.

    ESBEN WEILE KJÆR X BRODIE

For Brodie, multidisciplinary artist Esben Weile Kjær has created a limited selection of objects intersecting souvenirs, artworks and utility items. Inspired by well-known motives and materials from everyday life and his own artistic practice, Weile Kjær has scaled down the motifs instead of his usual practice of magnifying them, further examining the concepts of false and true, high and low.

    PINK ALIEN SKULL

The porcelain ornament is a smaller version of the work Alien Skull Wrecking Ball, featured in Esben Weile Kjær's 2023 exhibition I WANT TO BELIEVE in London. In the exhibition, large fiberglass alien skulls hung from the ceiling, activated by performers who swung within them.

The cover artwork by Esben Weile Kjær, from his Screen series (2020), was part of the Complete Collapse exhibition at Andersen’s Gallery in 2022. Merging gift wrapping, confetti, and photographs of couples from 1920s and 1930s dance marathons, the piece evokes dreams of fame. Black-and-white images rest atop vibrant stripes, blending nostalgia with collapse.

    COMPLETE COLLAPSE SLIPMAT

In 2020, Esben Weile Kjær explored photographs from dance marathons, a key aspect of youth culture in the 1920s and 1930s. The images of exhausted young bodies were reimagined as large stained-glass billboards, evoking a propaganda-like style.

These photographs are now reworked into a collage, transformed into a slipmat designed to protect vinyl records. This everyday object brings together themes of music, youth culture, nostalgia, and collapse, echoing through time.

    100% polyester.
